Happy hump day! It’s officially day 3 of my modified Clean Program, and I am missing caffeine so, so much. It’s weird, because it’s not even that I feel like I need the caffeine or anything – I just LOVE coffee, tea, chai, and matcha so much, not having my daily drink is making me super sad. I actually haven’t even had eggs yet, either, but I’mm missing them in my lunch bowls. I’m also getting used to the dinner smoothies, and finding that I’m sleeping really well the last few nights having no solid food at night, and no caffeine throughout the day. I do still have a pretty bad headache that likes to come and go, but I’m hoping this is just detox and will go away in a few days. Last night after climbing, I made my dinner smoothie and totally spaced on adding in protein – total mistake. I was starving 2 hours later. Luckily I still had some of this homemade turmeric almond milk in my fridge, so I heated up a cup and added in some protein for a night cap before bed, and it was so perfect -warm, filling, stress-relieving, and comforting. Thinking this whole golden milk thing might become a nightly ritual 😉
As you can see, settling might occur so make sure you shake before drinking!
